Job Details




Operates cart or other food concession stand, public gathering, sports events, or other Resort activities and events.  Must be willing to meet the customer service (food and beverage) needs of Sea Pines Resort guests/residents. This would include taking orders, serving food and beverage(s). 


  • Provides excellent customer service to all members and guests.
  • Drives concession golf cart around golf courses in a safe and courteous manner and sell products to golfers, bikers and other any other guests walking in and around the resort.
  • Stock carts with snacks, refreshments and sundries according to anticipated demand and requests.
  • Maintain cart in a clean, sanitary condition at all times.  Ensures proper mechanical maintenance done per resort scheduled maintenance.
  • Check station assigned to you prior to opening for cleanliness of work areas.
  • Serve guest order promptly and according to service manual.
  • Do all necessary set-up side work as per side work schedule.
  • Accurately practices service standards on a daily basis.
  • Can recite all menu items and ingredients of each item.
  • Can recite all Premium/Super Premium items – beer, wines, liquors, and knows prices.
  • Can ring up in Micros Point of Sale system all purchases, able to close guest checks and do end of day paperwork / deposits accurately.
  • Ensure the check is presented in a timely fashion.
  • Can answer basic questions; give directions and information about the resort and local areas.
  • Ensure timely beverage refills.
  • Practices “aggressive hospitality” as outlined in F&B Service Standard Manual.
  • Be able to operate Micros POS (where applicable).  No voids or deletes without management’s written approval.
  • Ensures proper recording of all cash and credit tips and accurately records sales and tips.
  • Must be able to climb stairs multiple times per shift.
  • Must be able to carry a tray weighing 10-20 lbs. over shoulder.
  • Must be able to work extended shift hours, according to customer demand
  • Must be willing to work in occasionally adverse outdoors extremes i.e.: Rain / Cold / Wind / Heat 
  • Introduces his/herself to guest.
  • Checks with guest often to ensure satisfaction.
  • Each employee is expected to carry out all reasonable requests by management, which the associate is capable of performing.
  • Ensure accuracy with presenting the guest with the check.
  • Must be able to work independently without direct supervision , and make informed and accurate decisions according to the Sea Pines standards


The impact of decision-making and the potential gain or loss to the resort in performing the job responsibilities. The decision-making must ensure good member/guest service and quality of the facilities balanced with effective cost control. 


Ability to read, understand and comprehend policies and procedures of the department.  Ability to speak effectively, present information, and respond to questions from groups of managers, guests, vendors, professional organizations, and the general public.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages.  Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as algebra, probability, and statistical inference to practical situations.

Ability to interact effectively with members, guests, and employees of diverse ages, backgrounds, and interests.   Must have excellent guest-service skills and be capable of handling effectively difficult guests and guest complaints.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of solar radiation.  The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.


This position requires one year’s experience in the Food and Beverage field, with at least one year experience serving and pouring bar beverages.
