The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee the operation of the IT department and to ensure it aligns with the business objectives of the Resort. The Director will plan, coordinate, direct, and design all operational activities of the IT department, as well as provide direction and support for Information Security and Technology solutions throughout the Resort. 

*Manage diverse IT team. Lead the IT department’s operational and strategic planning, fostering innovation, planning projects and organizing and allocating resources throughout the resort with multiple lodging, golf, F&B and retail operations.

*Ensure the company's information assets are secure by maintaining an active, evolving security model

*Formulate and deploy long term strategic plans, research and stay current on trends and developments within the industry, making recommendations for change where appropriate.

* Manage financial aspects of the IT department, including purchasing, budgeting and budget review.

*Develop and implement all IT policies, procedures and best practices, including, but not limited to those for IT architecture, security, and disaster recovery, standards, purchasing and service provision.

*Authorize and oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support of all hardware and software based on business needs.

*Approve and oversee projects and project portfolio.

*Develop bid requests and /or cap ex approval requests for all hardware and software purchases, upgrades, or replacements.  Develop business case justifications for IT spending.

*Negotiate and administer vendor, outsource and consultant contracts and service agreements.

*Establish and maintain regular communications with senior management, as well as other key business leaders and decision makers regarding pertinent IT activities.

*Experience managing, deploying and implementing requests and personnel.

*Experience in managing and supporting company help desk function.

*Experience in a virtual environment configuration preferred.

*Have experience in shared service environment, hardware and network transition/migration preferred.

*Experience with disaster recovery and contingency planning.

*Working knowledge of Point-of-Sales systems.

*Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to discuss technical issues with non-technical staff.

*Ability to comprehend, interpret, and comply with company policies and procedures.

*Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

*Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.

*Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

*Responsible for protection and privacy of the Company's information assets. 

REQUIRED SKILLS DETAILS

*Proven experience in IT infrastructure strategic planning, development, project management and policy development.

*Knowledge of business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations.

*Understanding of one or more regulatory and/or compliance frameworks (PCI, HIPAA, SOX, SOC, HITRUST, etc.) and network security from an IT perspective 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE


*Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred. 

*10 years + information technology, IT Risk Management or Information Security experience, or combination.

CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, CompTIA (Security+, Network+)
