Harbour Town Marina

This position is responsible for planning, directing, and supervising all marina operations, activities, and employees. Duties include staff hiring, training, and supervising of staff, preparing reservations and executing services of the reservations, facility maintenance, and ensuring a high level of guest service and daily interactions with guests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

· Knowledge of the principles, practices, and methods of the operation of a marina

· Knowledge of the principles, practices, and methods of the operation of a business

· Knowledge of boating and seamanship functions

· Knowledge and understanding of standard office procedures

· Knowledge of reservations and inventory systems, point of sales and Microsoft applications

· Knowledge of fueling and pump out systems

· Ability to operate a marina using best practices including Clean Marina standards

· Skill in presenting ideas clearly and concisely in verbal and written reports

· Skill in preparing and implementing budgets

· Ability to plan, prioritize and supervise the work of other employees

· Ability to establish and maintain effective public relations

· Ability to establish and maintain productive relationship with third-party watersport and charter operators, as well as boat slip owners

· Ability to develop long-range plans and to effectively present these plans

· Ability to maintain records and prepare reports

· Ability to maintain and repair marina facilities as necessary

· Ability to coordinate and/or host various events; i.e. Yacht Hop, fishing tournament, regattas, dockage during a major golf tournament

· Develop a sense of community, familiarity, professionalism, and friendliness for the operations

· Work with necessary departments to ensure the proper marketing and promotion of the operation

· Assist with other Sea Pines Resort functions as necessary

· Maintain close relationships with other Resort managers and operations within Sea Pines.

REQUIRED SKILLS DETAILS

· Bachelor’s Degree

· Minimum 7 years of related experience

· Strong guest service background

· Ability to provide a high level of service and a quality and safe experience for our guests

· Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

· Capable of multi-tasking

· Professional appearance and demeanor

· Valid driver’s license

· First Aid, CPR, and AED certified

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE


· Bachelor’s Degree

· Minimum 7 years of related experience with a Marina Operation.

· Valid Driver’s license

· First Aid, CPR, and AED certified
